About Us

Sticky Sticks is the invention of Stacey Floyd, a young mother of five boys.  The idea came to her in 2005 while she was working on some visual aids for a story she was planning to share with some children the next day.

She had colored some nice pictures to go along with the story and decided to put some craft sticks on the backs so that the children could help to hold them during the story. When she put the glue onto the sticks and then placed each stick on a picture, the glue not only wrinkled up the paper, but it also made the marker colors on the front of each picture bleed into one another.

With her work ruined, she was upset and decided that it she needed a better way to adhere sticks to her future projects.  She knew exactly what she wanted- self-adhesive craft sticks.  With all of the helpful inventions we’ve become accustomed to, she fully-expected to find the sticks that she wanted.  But after much looking, she couldn’t believe that nobody had made self-adhesive sticks of any kind!

After years of searching for just the right kind of wood, the perfect adhesive and the best design, "Sticky Sticks" were born.
